What's the best way to build a retirement when you start at 54.

I made mistakes. I planned a retirement around a man, I didn't build my own retirement, I stayed at home and raised kids for eighteen years... Etc. Now I'm 54(f) and no retirement, no savings. I make around 100k a year at my current job. I got it five months ago though and before that I made next to nothing. I was in debt and living paycheck to paycheck. So I'm literally starting with nothing. Here's the thing. I am now caught up on all the bills for the first time in my entire life. I want to own a home. I'm tired of renting. I also have to set aside money for taxes since I'm 1099. So my question is, what's the best way for me to do those things and still build a retirement fund? I do not intend to retire until I'm 70. I absolutely love my job. I work from home, I'm up for a promotion already, I love it. So I'll work till I drop. But starting so late I'm afraid I won't have enough after I do have to retire. Should I invest? And how? I know very little about all that. I need to grow my money fast. I cannot possibly save enough in time, I have to have some growth. Ideas?
