Every Starter Solo Run! Oddish! Triage OP! | 18/587
Hey everyone! KC here! We talking about Oddish today! Let's get into it!
Oddish, at the beginning, looked like a weak mon, with decent stats but not a reliable way to deal damage, or to outspeed, or even to resist some heavy attackers. And I won't lie, I wasn't far off the truth. And anyway, he was done in 2 attempts. How?
Well, first because I lost the first attempt at wave 4 in a double battle against two Spearows that crit and kill me first turn. But those 3 waves? They were enough to unlock Oddish's Passive: Triage.
Triage is an amazing ability, giving priority to any healing move you use. And this includes attacking ones, like Giga Drain. This actually gives a way of outspeeding! 1 out of 3 features. Then, how can I deal actually some heavy damage? Well, it doesn't learn set up moves (apart from Swords Dance) but it has Fiery Dance as egg move, which as well as being a good coverage move, has a 50% chance of boosting Sp Attack. That, kinds of gives us a way of killing mons when you use it with Giga Drain to have priority. 2/3. But I'm still lacking a way of surviving hits/long battles.
I gotta say, I never found a consistent way of surviving hits, so instead of going with surviving, I opted for Dodging! Double Team! actually mixed with a bit of surviving, Strength Sap (Egg Move).
I found my way out of most walls combining those two attacks. Including Evil Team Boss, Cyrus, and Ivy's battle at 195. But that was when I was stucked in a fight, for the rest of the run, my moveset usually was: Giga Drain/Fiery Dance/Moonblast/Sunny Day. Sunny Day because Oddish has Chlorophyll, but it never came in clutch.
Against Eternatus, I changed the moveset and went with Confide (Yes, again. The only way of lowering Eternatus Sp Attack/Boosting my Sp Def), Infestation for the % Damage, Strength Sap for the healing and Moonblast as the direct damage.
I used 6 Confides mixed up with a couple of Strength Sap, and brought Eternatus to second stage. Used infestation, Strength Sap when I was close to half HP and Moonblast until Eternatus was dead.
And that's how I won with Oddish! Don't miss out on the stats! I'm updating them, giving more info, with more TOP5s. Follow me on twitch so you don't miss out on the runs! This was done on stream! And subscribe in YouTube to don't miss out on future videos!
I wanna ask you, do you think I should do another Oddish run but into Bellosom next? Should I do that when I finish the whole challenge, as a bonus?
As always thanks for the support and don't hesitate on giving me any advice or suggestion.
Much love everyone! Take care! See you soon!
