PS5 - Constant White Noise In Headphones With 3.5mm In Controller

I just tried to play my PS5 with 3.5mm headphones and noticed an annoying buzzing/static in the background as long as any other sound is present.

I've tried resetting the controller, swapping to USB instead of Bluetooth connection, reseating the headphones, making doubly sure they're seated properly, and tested the headphones on my PC where they work flawlessly with the 3.5mm port.

These headphones don't have a microphone and I've also muted audio input.

I did notice that if I turned off sound effects and home music (aka, disabling all sound) the buzzing did go away.

I'm at my wits end with this issue and no other post has a solution to this particular problem despite how common they are.
