Why has rap been so stale lately?

I used to miss the old yung lean, black kray, bones, etc days in like 2014-15, but lowkey I watched some old rolling loud videos of 2017 and 2018 and those were some really good times too.

Its crazy how back then we used to think the golden era of SoundCloud was over but if you really think about it when juice, xxxtentacion, trippie, lil peep were on top those days just hit different

I feel like the current state of rap is kind of stale, and I don’t really see myself reminiscing on what it is today a few years from now. Only people I can really think of today who made an impact is yeat. Summrs, autumn, and all of them are mid asf. Not even gonna put Carti in that bucket because he is allergic to dropping
