i’ve never changed my 2019 nostril piercing is that bad?

so i got my nostril pierced in 2019… 6 years ago and i’ve never changed or even taken out the original piercing…. is that bad?

the thing is the piercer put a stud with a ball at the end and i didn’t have any reason to take it out / never bought a new piercing.. as i felt it was too difficult to try to get out

but i started to notice this past year that it’s very red all the time around the piercing even tho i clean it. sometimes it will even bleed and still gets crusty..

well recently i’ve been getting facials and the esthetician asked me to take it out. i explained i couldn’t and we went about the facial. She explained that i had a lot of build up around the piercing and thinks i should take it out occasionally and really clean that side of my nose.

at this point i’m worried it’s like super glue stuck in my nose !!
