PHISH - New Guy

My wife has been a Phish fan since 1996. A bunch of years ago, she finally got me to a Phish show at MSG. It was a fun experience. But, it didn't stick. We are big DMB fans (~75 shows) and big Dead fans (about a dozen Dead & Co. shows). moe. is another "jam" band that I like.

Anyway, back to Phish. A couple years ago, we saw them on the beach in Atlantic City. It was a fun show. My favorite song was a Zeppelin track they covered. It still didn't stick.

Then, I heard Kasvot Vaxt. I still can't stop listening to it. So, that opened up the door a little bit. We went to the Dec 30 show at MSG in 2023. I can tell you the exact song that I finally jumped on the wagon --> 2001. Holy moly, what a song!

I had been listening to them more in 2024. So, we had to see them on New Year's Eve about a week ago. Incredible. From 8:01pm to 1:15am. I could have stayed another 5 hours if they kept playing. It was the first time I ever heard of "First Tube" and just, wow. The What's Going on In Your Mind (mind mind mind mind) was a delight as well. Carini was incredible. I mean, the whole show was great but I was that dude who didn't know a single word of a single song (except SANTOS).

Hoping to see them this year. Would love a SPAC night or two. And, NYE would be awesome again.
