What do you use in your birdy’s bottom tray?

I’ve always figured newspaper is best, but I never buy newspaper these days. I’ve used a ton of papers from an old textbook, and I’ve cut open those large paper shopping bags. Today my mom gave me the bright idea to use wrapping paper!

What do you place in the poop pan? Also, how often do you clean yours? Do you have a specific routine?
