[General] Does body count matter?
(Note: this is not about fictional death count in an otome game)
tl;dr: Are you okay with the MC and/or the LI having sexual experience with other people before they ended up together?
Context: A friend and I had a bit of a chat about LIs and the MC where, when they reach peak intimacy and they have sex, the body count discussion would come up in the story.
Not sure how it goes in console/PC, but since mobile otome games cater to an older demographic of players, the games I've played almost always hint about the LI having a wild past, hence, the high body count. With how most societies in the modern world operate, this is to be "expected".
There are instances where the LI has had no experience for various reasons, but those are far and few.
In some games, the plot would throw a curveball wherein the MC is revealed to have had an ex (or two; even three, may or may not be all at the same time), and once the LI learns about it, the LI would either go :( or :| because it would mean that, at one point in the MC's life, she had been intimate with another person who isn't the LI.
Majority of the sub have said time and again how they dislike the MC being "naive" or "inexperienced", even "clueless" about love.
In your opinion, does body count matter for either party?
(To those asking what 'body count' means, it's the number of people one has been intimate with.)
