Is OTF + 24/7 gym doable?
TL;DR: Contemplating signing up for OTF.
I tried my first Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) class today. For the past 10 years, I’ve been a regular at Anytime Fitness, primarily focusing on weightlifting because I really dislike cardio. Running or using the stairmaster while watching Netflix on my phone bores me, and I struggle to push myself through cardio sessions. At best, I manage 20 minutes of power incline walking on the treadmill. I usually go to AF about three times a week.
While weightlifting alone has served me well over the years, I’ve noticed that as I’ve gotten older, it’s not enough to keep me looking as fit as I once did. I generally maintain a healthy lifestyle, including intermittent fasting on weekdays and walking about 6,000 steps daily for my commute.
I’m considering joining OTF to add some cardio to my routine. However, it will be an additional expense since I’ll be paying for both OTF and my AF membership.
If distance matters: both AF and OTF are 5mins bicycle ride away from my house.
Experienced OTF members, howoften do you recommend attending OTF classes to see effective results?
If you’re balancing both OTF and a regular gym, does this setup sound feasible?
