Fear of going over high driveway lips due to having fallen over them once
When I was first learning on Pint X in Redwood mode before I permanently switched to Pacific for most of my rides, I was trying to go over high curb driveway lips due that was over 1-2 inches, slowly at walking speed and the nose dropped when giving over curb, the motor gave up with buzz and I nosedived hard on the front. Fortunately I had wrist guards.
Eventually I overcame this fear and have ridden no problem over most driveway transitions, which usually are less than 1 inch. I just hit small bump and it’s nothing.
I want to overcome fear of going high lips though. I know I am supposed to pick up speed and as I just go over transition perpendicularly lean back and feel the bump. Even better de-weight as I go over.
I weight over 200 lbs.
First picture a driveway lip I am afraid of and second (with less shadow) I have no issue with
