I'm thinking of switching

I'm a current Pixel user and former Samsung user and have been thinking about trying One Plus when it's time to upgrade my phone, but I know nothing about them and everyone I know uses iPhone and Samsung. I really like the stripped down version of Android compared to Samsung's bloated version, but I'm looking for something between Pixel and Samsung. I also don't like the over processing of photos on Pixel even though it is really a good camera. But if anyone can tell me anything about One Plus phones, I'd appreciate it. I'm hoping it'll be a year or two until I do get another phone, but I'd like to do the research now because you can plan when to buy a new phone, but sometimes life happens.
