I feel bad because i just witnessed a girl being raped on the beach in broad daylight by an stranger she never knew 10 minutes earlier

So I 25M was on worktrip in this beach city which is real popular and always lively. I am staying for a month so my friends came to go to the beach and visit me. We went to the beach full of people as usual, we had a 4wheel drive car so we drove to more secluded area. There was a boy and a girl too they gone farther away from us not an hour past and the girl and the boy return shocked and you could clearly see something is wrong with them the boy request our help and within minutes the girl loses consciousness. He straight up tell us they went to a farther part of the beach then the girl asked him to retrieve a camera from the car and while he was gone four men came and stripped the girl naked and tried to rape her you could clearly tell they did but I guess he couldn't say it out of pride so we didn't ask that any more. We were 8guys, 4 more men were near us we went beat the living shit out the men called the cops, cops beat the shit out of them some more and imprisoned them. Rape is big crime over here so probably 14years of prison awaits them. But the damage was already done. I feel bad and depressed if we were minutes early we could've prevented that fuck them man.

Edit: It was a city called Berbera Somaliland an autonomous more stable part of Somalia. I am an officer at the goverment banking sector so we went to our yearly checks and my friends visited because they missed me. Any way a young girl in her late teens early 20th with a young boy same age. The offenders were in early 30th mid 20th like us and they were bulky fortunately some of us were too. From what I heard the boy went to retrieve his camera from the car parked near the beach and these men assualted the poor girl stripped her naked and she fought back when the boy returned he found her couldn't fight them alone so he took the girl and that when they found us cars are not allowed on the beach so these men didn't think he could reach the police this quickly fortunately our car had a premission and we were near so when we reached they were grabing their items and trying to flee they tried to fight us but we had a gun on board and were 12 so they gave up and that's when the boy called the police and the police took time to arrive so we beaten the badly by the time police came and actually the police beaten them with their sticks when they saw them
