New Grad Rant

Just need to rant. I’m a new grad in a CVICU where I was a tech before starting as a nurse. I had the most horrible night. One of my patients got delirious all of a sudden and kept trying to take his bipap off. We switched him to oximizer and his CO2 came back at 66 and his MAP was in the toilet. All while that was happening I also had a fresh post op patient who needed hourly numbers and her MAP was all over the place and also needed to be up to the chair at 5 for rounds. My charge nurse then comes up to me and tells me my patient from the day before’s wife complained about me because I made her husband say “please” Instead of just shouting at me every time he was uncomfortable. I felt like a chicken without it’s head and I also feel like a huge idiot. I know these days make you stronger, but I sobbed in my car the entire way home this morning. Please tell me it gets easier.
