Burping

Does anyone have any tricks to burp your newborn? First time mom here, I’ve tried every position, over the shoulder sitting and cupping his chin, over the knees stomach down, in my arms… nothing works, as soon as I lay him down he eels very uncomfortable, I have tried it for 10-20 minutes, rubbing his back tapping his back and nothing… he is 4 weeks old and this has been a constant issue, I think he burped once and that wasn’t even me, I picked him up after he ate and he just did it on his own.
