Unfortunately, genetics play a bigger role than most people realize
A lot of gyms I go to, I’m one of the strongest and also one of the smallest in there. It baffles me that I can be lifting more (sometimes a lot more) than 90% of people there, and still be one of the smallest.
I’m not asking for advice or help, I’ve been lifting seriously for 4 years, and while I’d like to think I'm humble and always open to learning more and seeing when I’m wrong, I’ve been obsessed/scientific with building muscle for 4 years now, and I’m confident I’m doing everything right enough to at least be getting 75% of the results.
The only logical reason for my situation I think must be genetics or some biological condition.
As an FYI, I’m 25m, 6 ft, and 175 lbs.
Edit: Maybe I'll post a physique assessment if that's allowed.
Some of my lifts:
- DB Bench Press: 90 lb dumbbells for 5 reps
- Barbell Bench Press: 200 lbs for 5 reps
- DB Seated Overhead Press: 70 lb dumbbells for 5 reps
- Weighted Chin Ups: Bodyweight + 25-lb plate for 5 reps
- Cable Row Machine: Maxed out
- DB Bicep Curls: 50 lb dumbbells for 6 reps
- Rope Tricep Pushdowns: Maxed out
- Barbell Back Squat: 265 lbs for 4 reps
- Bulgarian Split Squats: 120 lb dumbbells for 4-5 reps
- Hip Thrust: 7 plates (675 lbs) for 4 reps
