I don’t like/get Hadestown

NOW BEFORE I GET DOWNVOTED TO HELL (get it) LET ME EXPLAIN SOMETHING Everyone told me how this was the next Les Mis (my favorite musical) and I was stoked to be sitting in the front row. But after watching it I just don’t get it? I mean it’s a pretty basic story and every song just felt there to pet out the run time of a show I could explain to you in a sentence. Now I have an open mind and if I’m missing something that can make me love this nationally loved show please tell me and I’ll be more then happy to change my mind.
