Why does Hollywood keep casting John David Washington? His acting is distractingly bad..

Was trying to watch Amsterdam yesterday and could not get over how bad his acting is in that. I couldn’t even focus on the film it was so bad. When juxtaposed next to Christian Bale in the film it becomes even more glaringly obviously and at that point it just makes you mad. Like what would have otherwise been an enjoyable film is just ruined with this guys one-dimensional and wooden way of delivering almost every line he has. It’s like he’s trying to emulate his pops with none of the charisma while reading the dialogue sounding half bored almost. JFC I couldn’t take it and had to walk out about 30 or so minutes in. Surely im not delusional right? He was just as bad in Tenet if not worse. Guy can’t make up his mind about how he wants to act and just settles for some half assed impression of his dad. How did Bale feel having to share these scenes with him where he’s obviously going full Bale while the camera cuts to Washington looking almost bored to be there lol. Does this dude even want to be an actor? Lol. How is he landing these roles? Do people actually think he’s good? None of it makes sense..
