Comedian being dramatic

Who is a comedian that really knocks a dramatic role out of the park and with what role? I really enjoyed Robin Williams in Insomnia, haven’t seen him in One Hour Photo or Goodwill Hunting. Will Ferrell in Stranger Than Fiction is another example I really enjoy. Also, if they haven’t been in one yet, who would you like to see try it out?
