What humidity do you target for the drying process and why?

I like to set my humidifier to 65% and dry my buds really slowly (7+ days). My logic is that the increased humidity will keep the buds alive (they can absorb small amounts of water through the exposed plant matter). Because they can no longer draw nutrients from the stem, the buds have no choice but to start consuming the chlorophyll from within. The decreased chlorophyll results a smoother smoke. If the humidity is too low, the plant matter in the buds dies and the chlorophyll is trapped. The dead buds lose their aroma and take on a grass taste.

I notice a lot of tutorials recommend 50% humidity for drying but do not stress how much a low humidity dry will impact the end result. Also, they do not recommend adding additional humidity during the drying process.

Furthermore, I see a lot of folks in here asking why their nugs have no smell or smell like hay/grass.

I'm curious how the more experienced growers dry their buds and why they choose to dry that way.

If you choose to respond, thanks in advance for your time.
