Talk me off the ledge... please?

I'm driving a 2014 Camry with 150K miles on it. I have a 2 hr rountrip daily commute on I75. I hate it. The commute, not the car. The Camry's fine and it's paid off. But that's it. I made the mistake of driving my in-law's E350 around a little while ago and now I can't shake the feeling that I'm driving a Coke can everday. I'm spending too much time on Carvana etc looking at 2015 - 2017 S550's (My justification is I'm quite tall and need the legroom... right?...). That said I don't quite make Benz-as-a-hobby money. I have heard the maintenance horror stories about these things. And I know I can keep driving the Camry for another 100K miles for practically free. Even if the front fell off, it would cost me about the same as a set of MB tires. So can somebody talk sense and save me from these wonderful moneypits please? What can I reasonably expect to happen if I got something like this: https://www.edmunds.com/mercedes-benz/s-class/2018/vin/WDDUG8GB1JA407314/?radius=6000

*edited link. Not the right one.

*Update: My God guys! Thank you so much for all the feedback. This is gold! I have learned so much and these are all great points. I especially like the insights about the RWD VS AWD 4matic and such. A lot I didn’t consider. I agree that the E350 would be much more accessible for me right now. Although to address the question of why would I “need” an S Class… Nobody “neeeds” an S Class. But that’s the point isnt it? This is about want, plain and simple. I agree that the C class isn’t going to do it. I’m 6’-4”. I sat in one and it only works with the seat down and back as far as it can. The E is definitely great and will probably be the way I go unless everything breaks my way this year. I did get to drive an S500 around about 10 years ago though and it still tingles. I’m just going to have to get one on Turo for the weekend a couple of times to get that fix. Anyway I really appreciate all the wisdom. Thanks again!
