Ear Piercings as a Male Stigma

Would it be looked down upon to get ear piercings as a dude? I’m matriculating next year, so I don’t really know the culture. What are y’all’s thoughts on piercings potentially looking unprofessional? Have any of you experienced anything off-putting because you had ear piercings? Thanks.
