Scary

This morning my mazda 2 2011 brakes locked up when I applied the brakes and it slides a bit, thank God there wasn't much traffic early morning, it was wet just a tiny bit, bit from research I'm hearing the breaks abs system could fail on these vehicles without even throwing any warning lights..anyone ever experienced this,
