I wish that there was "third" choice

The one of very few things I dislike about Mass Effect are binary choices.

idea how it could work with minimal changes to the game:

for example - Rana Thanoptis (the Asari on Virmire) - you can either kill her, or let her go free, even if she might been indoctrinated. I wish there was "third choice" - arrest her. Then during next council call, they would ask for your opinion, where you can plead for her to be set free, or killed - the binary choices. Alternatively you could choose to not answer, or to hang up before that, at which point game would choose randomly between the two choices - a cost of inaction.

It looks the similar, but it is difference between letting her go, and having her set free after she is tested for whenever she is indoctrinated or not.

Same could be for Rachni queen, or Genophage cure (conditional relase of the cure) and other choices.

Also, does anyone know, if anyone has made a mod like this?
