Opinion about No Way Home's Ending

So I just watched NWH last night and I absolutely loved it. But the one thing I didn't like was the ending, and that's not because I wanted a completely happy ending.

I really loved the way the MCU went with MJ and Ned in the previous two movies as Peter's best friends and kind of like his team. I get the idea of giving Peter a "fresh start" after NWH and all, but I really hope the people close to him either remember him or get the opportunity to become friends with him again. What happened has to affect people on both sides. Even if they can't remember him right now, they would have wanted Peter to find them again because that's the type of people his friends are. They know the risks but they love Pete enough to willingly take those risks. So if he never approaches them, isn't it somewhat disrespectful to their wishes?

I can understand wanting to clarify that he's not just Tony Stark 2.0 but I think it was already obvious that he wasn't. Respecting Tony and caring about him, or even wanting to go to MIT don't make Peter a Stark clone. He was just trying to be like the person he respects the most, but that doesn't mean he was trying to become Tony. And I feel like making everyone forget about him could be a set up to introducing other frequently used characters possibly from the other two trilogies or from the comics, and wouldn't that take away from the uniqueness of MCU's Spiderman?
