overwhelmed by Marvel rivals

I'm really bad at articulating my thoughts when writing down so this might seem a little disjointed. I wanted to get into this game when I saw how popular it became last month when everyone was talking about it. I play single player games with my only experience of online being fortnite or brawlhalla which I don't have a lot of hours in. The game confuses me in the matches like I don't know which team I'm fighting or the mechanics I have to remember. I tried the tutorials for basic movements of characters yet I still keep getting eliminated 2 minutes into a match.
