Maritime school or piney point?

Im 21 living in central Arkansas. I'm currently waiting on an start date for the piney point apprenticeship program. I have no prior experience in the merchant marine industry. Taking out student loans for a maritime school sounded scary to me but I have yet to do much research on it. I guess I'm asking for advice on what I should do. I'm having second thoughts on following through with the apprenticeship program. Thanks in advance.
