Is a fwb a good idea

I’ve never really had a “real” in person relationship, only LDRs over video calls and texting. I’ve tried dating apps locally but I can’t find any guys who want to date, only those who want hookups or fwbs. Maybe because I’m a girl but it’d be pretty easy to get a fwb or hookup, and I’m kinda considering it now even just for cuddles after we do the deed because I’m lonely :( I also know fwbs go on dates and stuff too which sounds nice. But I’m kinda scared that I’ll catch feelings for a guy who wants no strings attached if I do agree to fwbs without commitment.
