Goldstars, what was your upbringing and child/teen years like?

I've heard a lot of experiences from lesbians who came out after some experiences with men and their upbringing (usually rural and/or religious) and am just wondering about yours. Usually I've just heard about what age goldstars started dating girls/women and that's all.
