How do I begin drawing?

I really want to get into drawing. I’ve wanted to for a while and I want this to be the year I really do it. I know what I want to draw, and some styles I’d like to try.

I just don’t know where to begin, how to learn properly, what equipment is right and wrong? This is one of the few skills I have no idea how to even start it. I have no time to go to a class, my schedule is very limited. I don’t even have weekends.

What can I do to start learning, and how do I do it “right”?
