is league worth geting into?

i understand this sub will have a bit of bias, but ive recently been wanting to play a new moba, im a big fan smite, and LoL has always looked fun to me, my main concern is the stigma league has in the gaming community, so i wanted some first hand opinion on if the game is good/worth getting into
