Have wife speak in her language all day?

So Ive been learning Tagalog on and off for the past couple years and I’d say I’m in between A1 and A2 just from past studying and listening and such. Well end of the month we’re making a trip to the Philippines to see her extended family and would like to try to pick it up again. Would having my wife speaking straight Tagalog be beneficial for me learning it even through I wouldn’t understand most of it? How effective could this be and how could I get the most benefit from this?

I’ll always start off strong for a week or two then just have no motivation, any tips on that as well? Thank yall in advanced!
