8BitDo Zero 2 Connection

Hey there! So I'm seeing that people are successful in pairing a 8BitDo Zero 2 Connection controller to the Kobo to use it as a remote page turner. No matter how hard I try, my Kobo is refusing to do so. I was able to download kobo-btpt so I do have the .btpt folder on my kobo. The only thing is that every file I add in there, the Kobo thinks it's a new book rather than something new to configure into its system. So now I'm stuck. Has anyone dealt with this and was successful?
