Tecsee Medium switches or how to lower your keyboard
I was looking for some low profile mechanical keyboards and have tried NuPhy Air75 V1. I didn't really like the sound profile of this keyboard, it's too loud and feels like rattle (not sure about V2) however, the typing experience on the NuPhy is really good. I prefer the quiet sound of the keyboard and have decided to go back to my Zuoya GMK67 and would like to build something like low profile keyboard based on GMK67.
I found the Tecsee Medium Tactile switches (or Tecsee Pudding, they also have linear version) which are much lower than regular switches and have less travel distance, but you can still use them on your regular keyboard.
About switches:
- Stem Material:POM
- Switch Type:Linear or Tactile Switch
- Actuation Force:50gf
- Bottom Force:63.5gf
- Pretravel:1.3mm
- Total Travel:2.5mm
The first impression was the sound, on the GMK67 with PC material plate, tape mod and tonnes of sound damping material these switches are really quiet (not much louder than Outemu Silent Lemon).
The typing experience is something like silent and lower version of Holy Panda switches with 55g of tactile force (yes, it's very relative and depends on the experience of each user). I've had no problems with the stabilizers, they are recommended for use with Tecsee stabilizers, but you can use them with your normal stabilizers. Yes, it's still not completely a low profile mechanical keyboard, but the typing experience is very close to it, depending on the profile of the keycaps and the height of your keyboard.

And yes, I could buy the Lofree Flow keyboard with the really nice sound profile, but this keyboard doesn't have software support, 2.4GHz wireless connection and there no many ways for customization. The NuPhy Air75 V2 is a really good deal, but it's still too loud for me (however, I would like to mod this keyboard and try to make it silent).
