My 2nd annual keto Thanksgiving...
...will be sadly devoid of Thanksgiving foods. Like turkey. 🦃
Because of crazy things happening with my parents divorcing (it is not a clean break, let me tell you), there will be no Thanksgiving for my family this year. My husband and I can't/won't make a turkey because we have no idea what we're doing, but that's okay because we know our limits and because of that, our house won't burn down/explode/transport itself to another dimension through our oven. It's for the greater good!
My grocery store saved the day with pre-made jalapeno poppers (4g net carbs each), cauliflower I don't have to cut up myself because I hate how the tiny pieces get EVERYWHERE, and cubed aged cheddar to pop in my mouth because it's best eaten in huge bites. I'll be making cauliflower mac & cheese (with bacon of course), so now Thanksgiving won't make me sad when there isn't a huge amount of turkey to stuff my face with. ❤️ Yaaaay!
And blueberries and cream sprinkled with cinnamon for dessert. A lot of it. Maybe the entire container of blueberries because I'm eating at maintenance now and idgaf. I have been eating the same OMAD foods every day for like 9 months, so this will be a treat!
Do people still say idgaf? Is that still an acronym these days? I can't keep up, because idgaf. 🤔
Anyone else having an unconventional Thanksgiving?
