About Osoto-gari.
Hey everyone! Junho here—the original copy of the judo twins.
Not sure how often or less often I'm allowed to post here, but pardon me if too often because this subreddit is practically the only place I can hear from judokas outside of Korea... and I love you all.
So, I’ve been working on an Osoto-gari series because I want to explain my skill theory in a way that’s both insightful and simple. I’m trying this flow of 1. Theory analysis -> 2. Practical example. Here’s what I’ve got so far for Osoto-gari.
1️⃣ Theoretical analysis of Osoto-gari
Watch it here – If you’re into nerdy breakdowns, this is your jam.
2️⃣ Practical example: correcting Osoto-gari in action
Watch it here – Because theory without practice is only half way.
I’d love to hear your feedback (or even your brutally honest criticism). My goal is to make Osoto-gari so easy to learn correctly that even my grandma could land it. Osoto-gari is also one of those techniques that can be fixed in a short period of time, so hope this is helpful to my grandma.
So here’s my big question: does the flow of these two videos make sense? Or should I go all-in and make each one longer and more detailed? Help a twin out! 🥴 And what would skill would you be interested next?
