Scheduling error?

There seems to be some weird scheduling bug I discovered today (Saturday). I set availability to 1 hour for today and 3:30h for tomorrow (Sunday). Correctly, Join schedules a rest day for today to make use of the longer availability tomorrow and it schedules a 2:30h endurance ride for tomorrow. The error occurs when I set my availability for today (Saturday) to 30 minutes instead of 1 hour. Now, it plans a 30 minutes endurance ride for today and plans tomorrow as a rest day, which doesn’t make any sense to me as this means there’s training time wasted. This even has bad implications for the weekend after: If I choose 1 hour for availability for today, it plans a rest day for today, 2:30h for tomorrow, and a 3h endurance ride for the weekend after. However, when I set the availability for today to 30 mins and it plans tomorrow as a rest day, not only do I not have a longer ride this weekend, but also the ride on the weekend after is only 2:30 instead of 3:00h as I assume Join ramps up longer rides gradually.

It seems like a scheduling error to me that makes Join compulsively use a 30min availability window even if this does not make sense in this case. In the past, I did not have this experience.

What could be going on here?
