First Jak 2 playthrough and I’m not impressed

So I’m actually playing through them for the first time (other then TPL cause that was my favorite game growing up) and I gotta say, I’m not very impressed with Jak 2 so far. About 50% of the way through and it’s just a complete 180 from TPL that I don’t even feel it’s the same series anymore.

I personally don’t like shooting games and while I will say I’m relieved that it’s not solely a first person shooter (hate those), I wish it was more like the first game. Huge focus on guns, you’re basically just a criminal, pedestrians just getting mowed over when driving (I’m not a good driver play lmao) completely getting rid of eco other than dark eco, precursor orbs are basically nonexistent, it’s just GTA in the Jak universe.

Don’t even get me started on the checkpoints and difficulty level of some missions, but that seems to be a very common negative of this game so I went into it knowing this.

Hoping it gets better.
