HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT JAIPUR JUNCTION IRCTC EXECUTIVE LOUNGE!
Travelling with parent. Reached station 3 hours before train time due to hotel check out time. Jaipur junction has a waiting room policy that they will not allow inside unless your train is within 2 hours.
AT THE LOUNGE - 1. Firstly, lounge is extremely hard to locate due to construction going on at the platform 2. Secondly, I had free lounge access on my card. The lady at the reception tried to convince me otherwise. And then upon questioning told me that the card machine was not working. And, it had not been working for the last 2 or 3 DAYS. 3. Complained on Rail Madad portal. They told me to go and sit in the lounge without making any payment as it was not my fault that there machine was not working. I chose to not do that since I was already tired from fighting with the lounge reception person and the waiting room person.
NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE. FROM WHAT I SAW OF IT FROM THE OUTSIDE IT IS DINGHY AND HOT. THE STAFF IS UNFRIENDLY. AND BASIC CARD SWIPE MACHINES DON'T WORK. BETTER TO FIND SOME CAFE NEARBY IN CASE OF LONG WAITING PERIOD.
PS - what is the point of having a waiting room policy where people can only enter 2 hours before the train? What if I have a connecting train - am I supposed to book a hotel for 3 or 4 hours?
