Latest conspiracy: Premier Milk intentionally putting bad lids on their milk cartons

I normally get my milk to last a few days past expiry because I don't drink that much tea or coffee. So a 1 litre of milk lasts me ages. However for the last few weeks, while all my other food lasts fine, my milk is going off well before expiry and I always find the lid is gammy and loose.

Is this Big Milk trying to get me to buy more milk more often?
