Mini with or without 5G

Just curious if folks tend to go with the regular model and hotspot from a phone or just got the 5G version. I plan to use it mostly on the go. Probably going to wait on the mini 7, although best buy allows 60 day returns with the plus membership so I might try the current model wifi in the meantime.
