Continuous issues with receiving delayed notifications (iPhone 14 Pro - iOS 16.4.1)
I have previously made a post regarding this and also have researched other similar posts over the months looking for a fix to no avail.
Problem: I’m continuing to have issues with my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 16.4.1 / AT&T network) receiving notifications late. Example: I receive notifications from apps (iMessage, Snapchat, Facebook messenger, Reddit, etc) and they oftentimes will not come in on time. It will show the time stamp on the notification as the correct time, however, they are not received on my end on time. This doesn’t happen with every notification (I do receive some promptly on time) however, it happens daily, across multiple apps, on both Wi-Fi and 5G cellular data. (I’ve attached two photos of the issue in action. Notice the notification comes in as a banner, implying I had just received it, however the time clearly shows it actually occurred minutes prior - again, on both Wi-Fi and cellular).
Things I have tried:
- Turning phone off and on.
- Checked Do Not Disturb settings. Checked that low data mode is NOT on.
- Forget Wi-Fi network and reconnect. Disable cellular data and reconnect. Turn airplane mode on/off.
- Reset all network settings back to default.
- Reset all iPhone settings back to default.
- Multiple iOS software updates (currently on latest iOS update).
- Various other setting toggles and services.
- Spoken with Apple Support twice who continue to offer generic solutions that I have already tried.
I am at my wits end. Any help would be appreciated. Apple Support has done nothing and continue to suggest it must be my network or Wi-Fi causing the issue when my last 3 iPhones on the exact same Wi-Fi and cellular network have not had this problem. My wife’s phone on the same network and Wi-Fi does not have this problem. My work phone on the same Wi-Fi and the Verizon network do not have this problem. Through two over 1+ hour long phone calls with two separate Apple senior advisors, I have found zero solutions.
Thank you for reading.
