Cleveland Cliffs acquisition of US Steel, share price

In August of 2023, Cleveland Cliffs made an unsolicited bit to acquire US Steel at $54 dollars a share. Then, in December of 2023 Japanese Nippon Steel cut a deal with us Steel at $55 dollars a share (that deal has now since be blocked by the feds). Currently, talks are under way for Cleveland Cliffs to buy out US Steel yet no share price has been publicly disclosed. My question is would Cleveland cliffs make a bid at or near the the 54-55 a share benchmark that was previously made? It seems like that seems logical considering recent bids.
