Beginner Canadian

Hi! I’m a beginner Canadian looking to invest 5k with incremental additions and have other investments (90k) through tfsa. My tfsa is currently sitting as cash.

I am currently using Wealthsimple for investing and would love something I can dump into and forget about. I am ok with slow/steady/safe

I’ve been reading about ETFs like VOO being safe but are there massive fees investing in this with Wealthsimple in Canada? A friend also recommended VEQT.
