Walkability in Indy

I'm a huge proponent of walkability and want Indianapolis to do as much as it can to improve this particular part of infrastructure. I see a lot of pessimism on the subreddit about the state of Indianapolis with regards to this. I'm actively working on learning as much as I can to make a difference and I'm personally optimistic about the future.

I have some questions for the community about this:

1. Do you think Indy is headed in the right direction?

2. What more could we do as a community to help these efforts?
