How hard is it to manage studies in IISER and prep for gate

I will for sure join IISER because of my interest in learning more about basic sciences

But I am not sure about PHD

I wanna give GATE exam after I do my msc there (BARC)

How hard it’s to manage both

I know I am thinking way ahead
