Harrasment by Hathway

I'm extremely frustrated with the Hathway people. I've recently stopped using their service as I've moved to a different place. From then, I've started getting 6-10 calls a day.

I've politely replied to them, begged them to stop calling, shared my frustration, mail their nodal officer and even shared it on twitter. Everyone of them says they're adding me to DND mode but its just not happening.

It's been a month and I'm seriously getting frustrated and losing my mental peace. Typing this rant as I've woken up by their call on a sweet Sunday evening.

I mean doesn't these many calls come under just plain harrasment? Don't they have any sense of privacy or personal space? The most frustrating part is their Nodal officers' numbers don't work. Please suggest ideas or ways by how I can make this stop.

Edit: Thanks a lot for all the suggestions guys and one of the ideas worked for me. Here are some tips:

  • Hathway generally recommends you talk to their Nodal officers. You can find their contacts on the website. This didn't work for me. If this doesn't work for you, escalate it to the appellate officer (read the next point).
  • You can reach out to the appellate officers and explain your problem. For Hyderabad reach out to 040-49219998 or [email protected]. For other cities just google "appellate officers hathway" and find the number. Thanks for this u/adjectivepig1996.
  • You can tweet by tagging "@HathwayBrdband", "@DoT_India" and "@TRAI". The Hathway team will respond to you and put you on DND. They might take a couple of days to update, but they'll do it.
  • Try to update your number on the mobile app. You can try updating it with a virtual number or with a number that you don't use.
  • As mentioned in one of the comments, you'll have to tell them either they're calling the wrong person (BONUS for speaking in non-telugu lang) or tell them you shifted to a remote location where their service isn't available. After this, hope that the salesperson puts you on DND.
  • Try telling them harshly - by threatening with a case or up to you and then hope that they'll put you on DND.
  • Start blocking all the numbers that they call you from and eventually, they'll run out of numbers to call you.
