Heat pump + electric heater VS natural gas furnace

Hey there, I’m building a new home in Cincinnati. The builder provides whatever the newest model of a Bryant Heat Pump + electric heater as a default but offers a natural gas furnace from Bryant as an upgrade for $1220. They couldn’t give me model numbers.

I’m really torn on which to go with. I understand the difference in how they operate and how each might feel. My problem is all I care about is my monthly bill, I don’t care about efficiency of the unit, I simply care about the cost.

I called my local energy provider.

12 month contract for natural gas: $0.799 CCF

12 month contract for electric is: $0.0939 KWH

House is 1,760 sq ft, 2 stories, basement included. 2 car garage.

I like to keep the air temp around 68 in the winter. And 75 or higher in the summer.

Anyone have any advice on how to calculate this? I found a calculator on another post but it’s heavily influenced by the heat pumps COP heating performance. It seems most range from 1.5 to 4… I don’t know what mine will be…

Thank you in advance!
