Just the tip

I bought this beautiful birds nest snake plant, but it has this little knick in the tip of one of the leaves. I had always read that this will prevent that particular leaf from growing any higher, but a little internet research turned up mixed testimonials. Anyone have any experience with this one way or the other? I was hoping that maybe since it is just a little bit of the tip, it could maybe keep growing? (Although maybe with the birds nest variety, it’ll just keep swirling upward from the middle with new leaves?)

I’m not concerned either way, it’s a beautiful plant and I am happy to add it to my collection, but just curious. 🧐
