ID + care tips ?

I was walking to class and saw this guy sitting sadly by the dumpster so I quickly grabbed it and shoved it into my apartment before heading back out. Some leaves were dried and wilted so I did snip those off and his soil was bone dry so gave it like 2 cups of water. Any help is appreciated! I like plants but defin never taken care of anything than a pothos and some random foliage
