Is there anything you can do about your (ex) mortgage servicer being kind of incompetent?

So I made a principal-only payment through the online portal, then I found out a couple of days later that it had actually already been sold and transferred to a new servicer when I made that payment.

The issue is that the old servicer (Your Mortgage Online) forwarded my payment to the new company via UPS. The new company never got it, and when I gave them tracking, they informed me that they don't accept payments in that city/state shown on UPS tracking.

I told the old servicer, gave them the address provided by the new company, and expected they would resolve it. After "investigating", they reissued the check and provided tracking. But when I looked at the tracking, the address was wrong again.

So I am hoping they get it right on the third try. It is just an extra principal payment, so not particularly time-sensitive. But wondering if they will get it together and if I have any recourse if they keep messing this up.
